FORGED IN 1908

Located in the Southern Crescent of Clayton County, Georgia, and approximately 10 miles south of Atlanta, the RPD, with more than 50 personnel, provides law enforcement protection and community services throughout the City of Riverdale—an area covering 4.5 square miles and proudly serving more than 65,000 people.

Our department provides comprehensive law enforcement services through highly trained and dedicated divisions, including Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Traffic Services, Court Services, a specialized K-9 Unit, and an advanced Motors Unit. Together, these units work collaboratively to protect life and property, enforce the law, and build strong relationships with the community we serve.
